Story Time promotes early literacy development through interactive stories, songs, fingerplays, and movement. Children will practice gross and fine motor skills, as well as independence; your 3-6-year-old is encouraged to attend on their own if this suits their growing independence and your comfort, but adults (and younger/older siblings) are welcome to join and participate as well. This program fosters exploration and discovery, and may include art, STEM, and mindful movement.
Registration is not required.
This Story Time session will be followed by half an hour of unstructured play with developmentally appropriate toys. Mr. Fred Rogers shared the importance of play when he said, “Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning.” We hope you’ll stay and play with friends!

Do you have the skills to solve a live mini Murdle jr.? Maybe you think you do. Maybe you’re thinking about a sandwich. Maybe you’re thinking “What’s a Murdle?” Well we can at least help you with that last one — a Murdle is a mini-mystery puzzle that gives you clues and challenges you to use your powers of logic and deductive reasoning to solve whodunit (also how, why, with what, and wheretheydunit). A *mini Murdle jr* is just a short, family-friendly version of the Murdle game!
Join Murdle, Murdle Jr., and mini Murdle jr. author G.T. Karber in the Story Room for an interactive, LIVE Murdle mystery. Karber will walk participants through the mystery for a once-in-a-lifetime experience you won’t want to miss! Plus, our friends from Boswell Book Company will be on hand with copies of G.T. Karber’s books, including mini Murdle jr: Holiday Hijinks!: 40+ Mazes, Codes, and Other Puzzling Games, the newest book in the Murdle empire! These and more books will be made available for purchase on-site. No purchase necessary to attend. Please register in advance for this special event. Registration begins August 14.

Join us for a Story Time program designed specifically for autistic children, neurodivergent children, or children who find it difficult to sit through our traditional Story Time programs. This 45 minute program is for children ages 3-8 along with their parent or caregiver and includes stories, movement and songs.
